I want to say hello to our long-time members and also welcome all new members to One Shot – One Kill Trading (OSOK), as the Fall of 2009 is setting up to be a very promising time in the history of trading. We are at a point offering tremendous opportunity for those who understand the machinations taking place amongst a number of asset classes spanning the equities, fixed income, currencies, metals, energies, agriculture products, and the respective spreads in those products.

As we head into the fall trading season, One Shot – One Kill Trading will be introducing new content, products, services, and contributors to the web site. I am excited about the value this will bring to you as members in providing new strategies for making money in the markets. I have had the pleasure of working with our new contributors and have watched their acumen and trading know-how in real time. This group is as diverse as they are talented, thereby putting Team OSOK members in the driver’s seat with cutting-edge market information.

Going forward, here is a list of the subjects we are going to focus future products and services on;

- Making the transition to becoming a professional trader and money manager

- Systems trading strategies

- Options Strategies for Trading both High Volatility and Low Volatility Markets

- Introduction to Electronic Futures Trading

- 10 Attributes of a Great Trader Course Book

Our desire to continually improve the flow of information to our members will never cease, as we continue to aggressively expand our network of highly-skilled and well- informed traders.

My schedule in September includes a trip to Chicago, where I will be hosting a panel at an institutional Forex conference on September 23 (http://www.profit-loss.com/events/Chicago09/). I will follow this up in October with a trip to Singapore and Australia, where I will be presenting and working with some prominent proprietary trading firms. I will also be being a featured speaker at the Australian Technical Analysts Association annual trader’s conference in Melbourne on October 23 and 24.

The year’s last major event is at the Las Vegas Trader’s Expo in November (http://www.moneyshow.com/lvot/main.asp?scode=013104). For those of you who I have had the pleasure of meeting here, I once again look forward to touching base and getting your feedback. This input is invaluable to refining the products and services we provide to our members.

I also want to thank everyone who has helped making 2009 the most eventful in the seven year history of One Shot – One Kill Trading. I would like to share with you what we have collectively accomplished year-to-date and provide a framework in understanding how much momentum we have going forward.

The year started off strong as my blog, Netto’s Numbers, became a mainstay on various financial web sites. I also wrote an article on the 10 Attributes of a Great Trader which became the most popular piece ever published. We also had an article on gamma trading currency options published in the January edition of Currency Trader Magazine.

February was another banner month as a combination of multiple mentorships with buy-side firms and standing room only audiences at the New York Traders Expo contributed to its success. The Trader Expo presentations included, “How to Take Your Trading Success to the Next Level and Become a Professional Trader, Live Professional Trading Tactics on CQG Spreader, and a panel with the ICE exchange on trading the Mini Russell”.

March saw no slowdown from the torrid pace. I became a regular guest on Forex TV, as the need for real time trading insight and what is impacting the currency markets plays well into Team OSOK’s trading strategy. We also teamed up with the ISE Exchange and put on a webinar that highlighted strategies for playing the markets in a high volatility environment.

April and May were wildly fulfilling, as the Eurex Exchange retained One Shot – One Kill Trading’s services to travel to Chicago and present to some of the best proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, and algorithmic trading shops in the world on the subject of “Techniques and Methods for Equity Index Spread Trading”. This two-week tour allowing me to visit 10 trading firms was one of the highlights of my career. The opportunity to collaborate and share strategies with some amazing individuals on both the sell-side and buy-side was profound. The byproduct of this is a continual refinement to trading strategies available to OSOK Members which have never been more robust.

The middle part of May put us in Las Vegas at a CME Group sponsored event at the Money Show. I educated investors on what is involved in the due diligence process of selecting a professional money manager. The more information the investing public has over alternative investment strategies, the stronger our community of traders becomes.

June was very busy as I spent the month in New York. The Traders Expo in Los Angeles on June 5 kicked off the month is style as the California sunshine made for a great venue for both a live trading challenge and a follow up class on becoming a professional money manager. The standing-room only crowd in Pasadena was filled with great traders looking for the right information and blueprint to take the next step professionally. The energy that day was palpable. I am very pleased at the relationships which have formed out of this class.

My short two-day stay in Los Angeles was followed by three more webinars that month; including another CME Group and Interactive Brokers sponsored event on “Trading the Transition Between Asia, Europe and the US Markets”. A week later I did a live trading event with The ICE exchange and CQG showing the benefits of CQG Spreader. Lastly, June saw us do a follow up webinar on becoming a professional trader. All of these events are archived and feel free to email me at jnetto@osoktrading.com if you have any questions.

With six months of 2009 in the books the focus of the summer was to take the information we had gained via direct feedback from the trading public and make our web site and channels of information more vibrant than ever. July and August saw me return to Las Vegas where Team OSOK has been laying the groundwork on both our web site and future products for the rest of 2009 and 2010.
