First Blago, now Warren?

The series of scandals over the past several days involving the President Elect by one degree of separation or another has grown to include the outrage by many in his political base at the invitation of conservative, anti-gay rights pastor and best selling author, Rick Warren, to give the invocation at his inauguration in January.

I'd argue that this is classic "wall of worry" material.  And I'm inclined to throw Madoff into this, as well, allegedly the sponsor of a massive Ponzo scheme that has managed to strip more than a few wealthy individuals, institutions and charities of much of that wealth.  Barry Ritholtz, who I interviewed recently for TradingMarkets, had an interesting theory on Madoff that I won't address here except to say that the possibility that Madoff could end up perceived as a victim of the greed of his alleged confessors truly would make him the perfect third to this trio of things that go bump in the night.

1969 Rybovich

Brayden X | April 7, 2009, 12:42 am

It has been reported that Bernard Lawrence Madoff a wealthy businessman and made a fortune of his wealth which led him to own so many properties but now all of it seems to be nothing anymore.A 1969 Rybovich would be a nice addition to the family toys. A 1969 Rybovich is not a classic car, it's a boat, and they retail for about $2 million, a classic luxury yacht. Well, the one that was owned by Bernie Madoff was just seized in order to get some cash advances to the people he ripped off. The bulk of his holdings and property are going to be sold in order to raise funds to make some sort of reparations for the $40 billion he ripped off from clients. Still, a lot of people would need some serious cash advances to afford a 1969 Rybovich.

can be very interesting
