Using Ebates To Save Money On Contacts
Posted on 07/07/2008 00:51:17 | Link | Post Comment
Recently I had the need to order to contact lenses and I wanted to do it online. I first went to 1-800-Contacts because it's the first thing that popped into my head. I was ready to hit the submit button on my order when I decided to look into some other options to see if I could save some money.
I headed over to Ebates to see what kind of offers they had. A company called Coastal Contacts was offering a 7% rebate and their price for my contacts was cheaper than the 1-800-Contacts price. Sold! The Ebates rebate amounted to $13.99 for my order. It was credited to my account immediately.
Sometimes it's difficult to remember to go through a site like Ebates when you're shopping online, but the rewards are tremendous. Ebates has dozens and dozens of online retailers in every category. Names you know and already shop with like Land's End, JCPenney, and OfficeMax. I even discovered we could be earning cash back on all of our iTunes purchases!
If you haven't signed up for Ebates yet, please consider doing it through my referral link. You will receive a $5 credit to your account just for signing up and I will receive the same for referring you.
And if you'd like more info on how to sign up for Ebates, visit my eHow article Save Money with Ebates. I've also included some tips on making the most of the Ebates site. You'll find a referral link in the resources section of that article.
And just a little plug for Coastal Contacts: not only were they cheaper, but their communication and customer service was top notch. I accidentally submitted my order twice and I called customer service and they took care of it right away. They confirmed my prescription with my doctor quickly, shipped quickly and sent me email confirmations for every step in the process.
