Fun Free Entertainment For Weather Buffs
Posted on 03/30/2007 14:39 PM | Link | Post Comment
I have an eleven year old who is crazy about weather. His favorite TV show is Storm Stories and his room contains a weather radio, a Galileo thermometer, and one of those tornado things you make by duct taping two 2-liter bottles together.
So last night his grandmother (another weather buff) and I took him to a storm spotter's training put on by the National Weather Service at a local high school. Imagine 150 nerds in a school auditorium watching videos of tornados and you've pretty much got it nailed.
I love seeking out fun free or low-cost stuff like this that matches our interests.
