Wi-fi Top Up Cards?

Posted on 07/03/2008 23:50:22 | Link | Post Comment

This post was written yesterday afternoon.

I’m sitting here in the Jack Lynch Lounge in Cork Airport and am realizing that after my last few flights wi-fi access sorely needs the introduction of top-up or “pay as you go” cards similar to those you can get for cellular services.

As I’ve wandered around here for the past fifteen minutes I’ve seen maybe 20 people using laptops and non of them are surfing the web because it requires them to sign up for a service such as BT Openzone using their credit card.

The thing is that most of the people I’ve seen with their laptops open are appear to be students, people who generally not have credit cards and who are more familiar with the mobile pay as you go market.

From where I sit now looking out over the airport entrance below I can see to dispenser machines which offer top us for various mobile networks.

Where is the one for wi-fi access at the airport?
