While history was being made on November 4th, so too was history being repeated. We are now about to enter a very tense and possibly very scary time in the American legacy. For those of you who are partying in the streets because a new leader full of youth and charisma is the President elect, understand that he will be tested on the world stage.

Consider this, for those who were around to see how the actions and missteps of John F. Kennedy led to the Cuban Missile Crisis, this story out of Associated Press might be unnerving.

I'm not projecting doom and gloom, that's just not my nature. But right now Barack Obama is being tested in the same way that Kennedy was tested by Nikita Khrushchev in the 1960s. And that almost ended in a nuclear face-off.

As for the economy, I'm not so displeased with the nation's pick. If the rich want to give their money away to the middle class, as CBS News reports 6% more are willing to than not, then so be it. I'll take it! Assuming I'm not out of a job next year, I think I'll go back to college or buy some spinning rims for my car, I haven't decided which yet.

If Obama's tax plan is to redirect money earned by Americans making over $250,000 per year and give it away to people who are essentially in a 0% tax bracket, then that check coming in the mail is a welfare check. Plain and simple.

Of course, nothing is as it seems.
