Realtors Claim Victory In Defeat Of 'transfer Fee' Bill

The California Association of Realtors reports that a rival version of a bill requiring that "private transfer fees" be disclosed was killed in committee. (To see CAR's press release, CLICK HERE.)
A version of the bill that CAR supports won committee approval and goes before the full Senate later this summer. The Assembly already approved the CAR-backed measure.
A "private transfer fee" is a fee that can get added to a property's deed requiring that future buyers pay a designated amount into a designated fund each time the home is sold.
What are The Fastest-Growing Suburbs in America? One hint would be to look in the fastest growing state in America, Arizona. What's behind the strong expansion of these communities? One word: Affordability. The Phoenix area saw the greatest positive domestic migration of any American metro last year, with 115,000 more people moving into town than leaving.
