FROM TICKER SENSE:
The Bulls are back! The market is making new highs and this week our bloggers expect the rally to continue.
I voted neutral after many weeks of bearish, and still my stock account remains 100% invested in an array of
tech, medical, biotech, mining, and energy. I am also hedged (short 15%) QQQQ, SPY & RSP. The hedges have crimped my returns. I recently sold some BAJFF and added DNDN.

Portable Alpha Daily's Long-Term Market Model – Bearish since May 15th. Asset Allocation – AAS Model Portfolios have 75% cash allocations and 25% longs, finding Alpha in Energy and Materials.

Long time bear, Richard Russell, turned bullish last month. Should this be seen as a contrarian indicator that the market has topped? Not now. Not yet. Why?

  1. There is a lot of liquidity sloshing around.
  2. There is clear evidence that the retail investor has not participated yet, and when they finally can't take it anymore (sitting in cash) and get off the sidelines, look for a big move up (blow-off) before institutional distribution turns ugly.
  3. Inflows into Rydex Dynamic OTC fund have slowed down.
  4. For now, REITs are toast and should be avoided in favor of large-caps.
