Fed Holds Interest Rate Target Steady - Market Rallies
- Kenneth J. Gruneisen, CANSLIM Certified, Registered Principal, Source Capital Group, Inc. (Members NASD, SIPC)
The major averages rallied on Wednesday and the volume totals were heavier than the prior session totals on both major US exchanges. Breadth was positive as advancers led decliners by a 5-to-3 ratio on the NYSE and by much narrower 17-to-14 ratio on the Nasdaq exchange. The total number of new 52-week highs easily trumped new 52-week lows on both exchanges. There were 73 high-ranked companies from the CANSLIM.net Leaders List that made new 52-week highs and appeared on the CANSLIM.net BreakOuts Page, up considerably from the 50 stocks that appeared on the prior session.
