I have said many times before that we cannot rely on Government reports to tell us that there is "stable inflation, moderating inflation, or no inflation." We know better, and so do the publishers at Barron's and the Wall Street Journal. Both publications have reduced the size of their newspapers. Initially the media reported that the size reduction was because of declining ad-revenue and smaller circulation numbers. While this may be true, I received a letter from Barron's in 2006 urging me to re-subscribe soon because rising commodity prices may prompt an increase in the subsciption cost.
