'Fat naked guy' must survive Oklahoma

Richard Hatch, of "fat naked guy" and "Survivor" reality show fame, has been transferred from a Massachusetts federal prison to a facility in Oklahoma City, according to an Associated Press report (read it here in the Washington Post). In May, Hatch began serving his 51-month sentence in the Plymouth County, Mass., federal jail for not paying taxes on the $1 million he won in the television program's premiere season. No one is saying why the feds made the move. Hatch's lawyer, Michal Minns, obviously has audacity that matches that of his client. Minns told the AP that Hatch "should be in a camp. 'The camps are the most comfortable of the uncomfortable. They are still jails, but they get to see the sky and be outside. It's bad for Richard, who is an outdoor person.' Hey, Mr. Minns, Hatch is a criminal. He should be in jail. In fact, there should be a tougher facility for people who are too stupid, or too arrogant, to pay taxes that everyone else in the country knew full well were due. And don't worry too much about Dick's outdoor options. I'm sure that he'll get more than enough time in the prison's exercise yard, where he can fully appreciate the Oklahoma heat. Plus, OKC might not even be his last stop. Apparently the prison is a transport hub for federal prisoners, meaning Hatch might be out of there and headed to yet another lock-up "sooner" than he expects.
