DayveJohnson on the MarketsPosting my thoughts and trades as I take on the challenges that the financial markets will bring. Especially suited for end of day traders who also have a full-time job. Hopefully my years of experience can be a valuable asset to the trading blog universe. And please do your own research, I am not responsible for your personal trading decisions |
Selling MLNM. No Buys. Some Thoughts.
Posted on 10/05/2006 18:41 PM | Link | Post Comment
Just a quick post here. I will be selling the position in MLNM tomorrow and will not be adding any new positions to the swing portfolio. This will leave me in just ALTR and XMSR for the time being. With only 2 out of 5 possible positions being held I am in a pretty high cash position.
I updated the trade performance sheet with the most recent closed out trades. That's always found on the right hand side of the blog under links. At some point soon I will do a review of performance. Only a month to go for a full year of tracking trades and so far I am up about 32% with a pretty bumpy road along the way (those freakin' oil-gas-gold-commodity pieces of sh*). But considering the picks are all posted before the market opens and are generated automatically I would say that's pretty darn good. Especially considering during that time the NASDAQ is up only 5.4%.
I think maybe once I have a full year of data I may stop posting the daily picks and focus on mechanics and setups instead of individual picks. Just kind of a thought. I will have to think about how I want to go after my first full year of posting virtually every market day. I honestly don't know how some of the other great bloggers like TraderMike and Bill Cara do such high quality stuff day after day. My hat is tipped to you
Have a Great Night!
