Funny Money Friday: Patriotic Credit Cards
Money doesn&39;t have to be boring! Each week, CreditBloggers.com takes a look at the lighter side of the personal finance world in a series called Funny Money Friday.
It&39;s the end of a slow 4th of July holiday week and a perfect time to highlight some of the best patriotic credit cards on the market today. Yankee doodle-dandies of all stripes might be interested in one of the following offers:
Discover More Card - American Flag
Displaying your patriotism isn&39;t expensive with this Discover credit card. 0% introductory rate for 12 months and then an APR as low as 10.99%. I happen to know that one member of our own team of credit experts has this exact account.
Chase Platinum MasterCard - Stars and Stripes
The Chase card ups the anti by adding an eagle to their flag design. This card also has an introductory 0% rate for 12 months, but then has an APR of 14.24% or higher.
US Power Squadron Platinum Visa
Of all the military organization credit cards available (there are a lot) this is one of the few that actually donates back to the group it promotes. Of course, it&39;s not exactly a military organization. The US Power Squadron teaches boating safety in cooperation with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Oh well, it has a flag on the card anyway.
Democratic Party Visa Platinum Card
Donate your spending rewards directly to the Democratic party with this Providian credit card. Plus, 0% for three months, an interest rate as low as 9.99% and free credit monitoring. Five patriotic designs to choose from! (Sorry Republicans, I couldn&39;t find a credit card for the RNC)
Diners Club Credit Card
Apply for the credit card that started it all. Diners Club issued the first "real" American
credit card back in the 1950&39;s. Now run by Citibank, these cards aren&39;t cheap but do come with a lot of perks.
Have a great weekend!
