The World Series Of Poker

Posted on 02/11/2007 18:22 PM | Link | Post Comment

The WSOP is the world's last great gold rush. It's where an average joe (who knows how to play poker) can invest $10,000 to play in the Main Event, and walk away with 10 million dollars. Even if you finish in 50th place you'll walk away with hundreds of thousands. Each year, the field is growing larger and larger so the odds of winning are slim, but the last several years, absolute nobody's have made it to the final table.

Poker's the only "sport" where you don't need great athleticism to be a success. Just the ability to read people's hands all while keeping a poker face.
