What the heck is ReviewMe?

Posted on 11/13/2006 00:00 AM | Link | Post Comment
After wandering through a few of my more frequently read blogs, I saw something mentioned on John Chow's internet interesting stuff blog, that tweeked my curiosity. The site is called ReviewMe , and this posting will be my view of their "service".

So the ReviewMe service has an Advertiser and Blogger side to it, I am signed up for the Blogger side of things (I am not rich enough to advertise just yet). I have submitted my happy little collection of rants into the service, for review. Evidently I will be paid to review other bloggers sites as well, depending on when I do it, and such. I have submitted my site, and the ReviewMe folks will make sure that I have actually reviewed the site in question (I guess). Interesting idea, not sure I know if it will work, but it might. If I become affluent enough to "advertise" I can give ReviewMe money to put out my site to be reviewed by other bloggers, and that might then cause a buzz or groundswell of folks who think my site is well worth reading, or simply think I am an interesting crackpot to read about.

What's wild is, I am evidently getting paid to review ReviewMe, and I am allowed to talk about that too? Wild!

If you are a big enough site that you want to cause a bigger buzz, check them out, and if you are a lowly little guy like me, here is another way to make a little money on the side reviewing other folks sites too. --C8j
