Rant: Conservatives Tax Cut Teases

So no mention of Income Splitting for non-pensioners, other than a "we'll think about it", gee thanks Jim. Why do I bet this comes back as an election promise for the upcoming election? This one is such a no brainer, I just am flabbergasted that the Tories have not pushed this one through? I have heard interesting arguments about how it makes life too easy for the rich and doesn't make life better for the dual income families of Canada.

My reply, "Walk a mile in my shoes first", I have been carrying the tax load for a good long time in my life. My wife chose not to work full time, and we were fine with that, but I can't write off my kids day camp as a childcare cost, I pay more taxes than my neighbours who have two incomes and most likely make as much as me. Putting the single income families of Canada on an even playing field would be nice. For those who complain it prejudices single parent families, allow them, if there is a child to use the child as a spouse, and income split with them.

This one is a real hot button for me. As you may have seen in my previous posts about how the government hates single income families.

Jim Flaherty, you are now on the list!!!! --C8j
