More Car Woes

So it seems that whatever work was done, was under warranty, which is great, however, I don't know what was done, because my invoice was not ready when I showed up. I was ok with that, except that NOW the initial problem seen, has not really gone away (i.e. the car gets hotter in traffic). On the positive side, a major portion of the A/C system is going to be replaced under warranty next week when a part comes in, so that definitely tips the scales towards the "Extended Warranty in this Instance a Good Thing".

Again, my advice is that every situation needs to be looked at in it's own context. Getting an extended warranty on my toaster makes no sense to me, but for my Van, which seems to be very Citrus in nature right now (i.e. Lemon-like) having the extended warranty was very correct.

Now, the other issues I have are with the roofers I got and how they haven't cleaned up after their job (nails and shingles being found in odd places). This is another IMPORTANT point to ask about and to bitch about if it doesn't happen, if you are having a roof put in. This is worth money, because if my dog steps on a nail, that is going to cost me money at the Vet, not to mention if my 18 month old son eats a roofing nail! Keep that in mind as well. --C8j
