One of the favorite places to visit with my parents when I was young (in Montreal) was Ben's Delicatessen (a place so famous, it has a Wiki Entry). Evidently due to an extended labour dispute this heritage landmark on De Maisonneuve in Montreal is closing. From the stories I have seen on line it may be time to close the door on this special part of my childhood, but I really enjoyed eating smoked meat there. When I was older attempting to get home from a bar at 3:00 AM usually entailed having a coffee and cheesecake at Ben's as well (but that is another story).
