Mainstream Media Attempt To Go Web 2.0, And Fail

Posted on 06/29/2007 05:36:07 | Link | Post Comment

The Boston Globe started a real estate blog last week called, shockingly, The Boston Real Estate Blog. The Globe has six bloggers on board, including their main real estate reporter, a buyer, someone at the registry of deads, an attorney, and a real estate agent, among others.

Okay, obviously I'm biased, but let me just tell you, the chances of the Globe having a successful real estate blog are slim to none.

Starting July 15th, we'll see - is there more than one entry, per day? Is there more than one entry, per week?

Starting September 15th - is there more than one entry, per month?

Why can't newspapers get it together?

I don't know. Really. I mean, they have access to the latest news, they have experienced, qualified writers.

Still, they fail.

Why???????
