Carruth Condos in Dorchester (Boston) Provide Pricing Relief
With million dollar condo listings in downtown Boston selling like hotcakes, there is a large contingent of condo Buyers who want to buy into a high-end development, but simply cannot afford price per square foot values around $1,000.
In comes The Carruth, a mixed use development that is currently under construction in Dorchester, a southern suburb of Boston. The six-story Carruth will be a Dennis Duffy design housing 42 market-rate condos on the top two floors, and rental units below. Similar to the 285 Columbus Lofts, a new Back Bay / South End development overlooking the Back Bay Orange Line T-Stop, the Carruth will be adjacent to the Red Line Ashmont T-Stop.
The significant difference? The Carruth is pricing units between $269,000 - $379,000, and at prices in the $300 per square foot range, it's a nice relief from downtown city prices. Condos at the Dorchester Carruth will feature bamboo floors, high-end appliances, and garage parking is included.
