Hydromedix, a West Palm Beach, FL, company that makes devices to accelerate healing, announced yesterday that it will raise about $250,000 to fund prototype development of an appendage apparatus for use with the company’s patented technology, Dry Contact Whirlpool Therapy.
The technology speeds the healing process for post-operative surgical patients and those undergoing radiation therapy, and speeds the rehabilitating process for injured athletes, by applying heat or cold to the injured area.
CEO Brian Meserlian said in a statement that the $250K will allow the firm to complete all phases of prototype design, adding, “We are significantly closer to achieving our goals of getting the prototypes into clinics for testing on patients and are confident once our products are in the market, they will improve the healing process more rapidly than the traditional healing methods.”
