Novavax Inc. - NVAX up 17% on three times average volume after releasing its 8-K yesterday just before the closing bell. Novavax is an attempt by many traders to find a way to play the Asian Bird Flu fears gripping the nation.

Today's trading appears quite bullish even though the major indices are slightly in the red. After a massive two day rally, trading flat or only slightly down as we are now makes a powerful statement as to what we can expect in the way of a potential Santa Claus rally, and the follow through January effect. More updates to follow after we have a chance to review the Fed's policy statement. The 1/4% rate hike has already been accepted and digested although not official yet, but traders will be looking very closely at the accompanying verbiage to determine the possibility or probability, of future increases.
